State Level Awareness Programme on “Prospects and Potential for Cultivation of Seed Spices in Telangana State”

The Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture and allied sectors has inaugurated the State Level Awareness Programme on “Prospects and Potential for Cultivation of Seed Spices in Telangana State.

Dr. Gopal Lal, Director and Dr. N.K. Meena and Dr. Shiv Lal, Senior Scientists from NRCSS, Ajmeer, Scientists from SKLTSHU and PJTSAU have taken part in the programme to create awareness and explained in detail on cultivation of Seed spices.

The topics covered:

1.    Seed Spice in India – an overview  - Dr. Gopal Lal

2.    Sustainable production technologies of Seed Spices – Dr. Shiv Lal

3.    Insect, pest and disease management in Seed Spices – Dr. M.K. Meena

About 150 progressive farmers from Nirmal, Vikarabad, Kamareddy, Adilabad, Sangareddy and Nalgonda which are potential districts for growing seed spices have participated in the programme.
